The old Marathon de la Route that led from Liége to Bulgaria and back via Yugoslavia was replaced from1965 by an 84-Hour race on the Nürburgring. In 1969 the Argentinian car manufacturer IKA sent three Torinos (first row of the starting grid) to this race, but only one reached the finish.
