The ultra-light Porsche 908/3´s were ideal cars for racing on twisty circuits and in the 1970 1,000 km race at the Nürburgring, they had no real opposition. Vic Elford won the race by more than five minutes from the similar car of Hans Hermann/Richard Attwood.
